Hi everyone! It’s been quite a while since our last update, so there is plenty of news to get into. Without further
adieu, here we go!
Joe Kent has moved on. Yup, Joe did probably his last gig with us at North Branch high school a few weeks ago. It
was a lot of fun singing with Joe again - he’s been on a substitute basis since his “official” retirement last fall. That
being said, you never know when one of us gets sick and needs a last minute sub…Joe is in the process of
finishing up various paperwork issues with his degree, and is looking to get a teaching job this fall. Best of luck to
you Joe!
In the meantime, we have been trying to figure out just what the future of the group is going to be. 4 person group?
5 person group? German polka band? While we figure that out, a good friend of ours from MSU, Andrew Umphrey,
has been singing with us. Andrew has a degree in theatre and communications from Bethany Lutheran College,
and is currently studying for his Master’s degree at MSU in theatre. We’re really glad Andrew has been able to join
us (and fit us into his incredibly busy schedule!) not only for his lovely voice, but also because he’s big and strong
and able to lift heavy equipment well. Rock on Andrew!
Speaking of moving forward, we are currently working with Celebrity Cruise Lines for a 6 month tour aboard one of
their ships. We’re both very excited and very apprehensive at the same time; a 6 month commitment is HUGE, and
represents a lot of sacrifices for all of us. Hopefully in our next newsletter we can let you know if 1) we’ve been able
to work it out and 2) what ship and dates we’re on so that all of our fans can join us! (c’mon, you know you’ve been
looking for an excuse to take a cruise for a while now!) For those of you who are interested, Matt put together a

We also have an update for you – after much deliberation we decided to come back to Chicago for the Harmony
Sweepstakes on March 23rd. It was a toss-up between Denver and Chicago, and in the end the shorter drive won
out. For anyone in the Chicago area, I hope you can come back and see us again! And cheer lots!
On the studio side of things we are planning right now, Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise, to do TWO studio CD’s
this summer; first a normal CD, and then a Christmas one. Our live project has served us well, but we really feel
that it’s time to have updated music available. Last Christmas we also received NUMEROUS requests for a
Christmas CD…so, we figured, why not do both.
